Inspection of Tubes and Pipes
The ultrasonic probes and instruments are mounted on a carriage which travels along the length of the rotating tubes. The tube rotator can accommodate pipe of diameters varying from 50 mm to 600 mm. The helical path scanning is precisely controlled to ensure complete tube coverage at resolutions of 1 mm. The PRS (Pipe Rotating System) is commercialized exclusively by Olympus NDT. The tube and pipe inspection system is built on a gantry structure. The system uses multiple Phased-Array UT instruments for full volume inspection at fast scanning speed.
